I was given permission to pass this message from EJO on to whomever would be interested - so please feel free to pass it along, yourself! I encourage you to donate to Sextol Sol's cause as part of your holiday giving, as I have.

-------------------------------------

From Edward James Olmos:

I would like to extend my season's greetings to you. As we approach the end of another year, I am often reminded how blessed I am to have the friendship and respect of all of you. I am humbled and grateful for the support you give to me and to my projects. I couldn't do what I do without you.

Now that the giving season is upon us once more, I would appreciate it if you would consider offering your support to an organization whose work is close to my heart. The people of Sexto Sol Center for Community Action are tireless in their efforts to serve impoverished communities in Chiapas, Mexico and Guatemala. With economic times being what they are, it has been especially difficult for non-profits to maintain their former levels of contributions. I know that many of you have generously givien to Sexto Sol in the past. I appreciate your thoughtful kindness more than I can say. I am hoping that even more of you will consider making a contribution towards helping them this holiday season. No amount of a donation is too small. Pennies add up to dollars, and dollars change lives.

You can go directly to http://sextosol.org/ or reach them through my web site to read more about the vital work that is being done. There are a variety of ways that you can help. If you are a coffee drinker, bypass Starbuck's one day and send the money to Sexto Sol through whom, by the way, outstanding coffee can be purchased.

I hope that you will find it in your heart to help. There is no greater holiday gift you could give to me than this.

With all my love and appreciation and good wishes for a blessed new year,

Edward James Olmos

Hi there,

I'm planning on switching all the bedrooms in my house over the holiday break. My teenaged daughter is going to get the master, my 10 year old son is getting her old room, and then my husband and I are going to get the 92sqft tiny bedroom our son is in. The kids need more space, and we figure this is the best way to give them more room to spread out! They have an ever revolving string of lounging eating guests, so no time like the present to give them more space.

Pics of the before will uploaded soon!

I've been wanting this bedding for the longest time from walmart.. I bought it about a year ago and had to return it because my room wasn't going to get painted for a while. Now that my room can finally be repainted I'm buying this again and I'd like to see what wall colors go well with this set. If anyone has it, or something similar please post it with the color of your walls. My walls are light pink and wood work is hot pink so it wouldn't go with this at all, I definitely need and want to repaint. I don't want to do red or black on my walls so I was thinking of doing my walls grey and woodwork black with this, what does everyone think? Thanks :)

Have you ever dreamt of watching a professionally-produced DVD that contains Q&As done by James Callis, Richard Hatch, Michael Hogan, Edward James Olmos, or Mark Sheppard? Wouldn't that be a fantastic BSG-themed Christmas present?

Well, I've got great news for you: The great people of Intex Digital Sound released two major FedCon 18 DVDs this week: -- a 2-disc "FedCon 18 Highlights" DVD set, -- and a 2-disc "Battlestar Q&A" DVD set containing all the BSG panels from this year's massive, star-studded FedCon in Bonn, Germany. Both DVDs are code-free, and they're available in PAL or NTSC.

If you want those DVDs, send an e-mail to fedcon@intexsound.de (no worries, they speak English). By the way, I'm not affiliated with Intex Digital Sound, but I'd be happy to try and answer any questions that you might have. By the way, DVDs from last year's FedCon (Cairns, Clyne, Forbes, McDonnell) are on sale, too.

My buddy Frosty was taking notes during Luciana and Jamie's joint Q&A on Starfury Sunday. You can read his extensive transcript here at Luciana Carro Fans.

Obviously, his focus is on lovely Luciana, but there are a few bits on/from Jamie, too. Enjoy! :-)

And it ain't BSG.

According to my TiVo - the 1997 Adaptation of 12 Angry Men - Mary McDonnell is the judge and EJO a juror - is going to be on TV Land on January 1, 2010 at 9 AM Eastern. I've not seen this released on DVD or VHS so far as I can tell, so you may want to set your recording device of choice in order to catch it - it's a pretty decent adaptation (Also includes William Peterson, James Gandolfini, Jack Lemmon, and George C. Scott among others).

Hi everyone! :)

I've been a member of this community for ages, and I think I've finally been inspired enough to makeover my room (eek!).

I'm in love with the idea of having a few different sized frames with quotes in them up on my walls...I know I've seen pictures of that sort of thing on here, but I've just spent the last hour looking through the tags, and I can't find anything!

So please, show me your/anyone else's framed quotes! Thanks so much. :)

So I've lived away from my parents for 2 yrs now.
Recently I moved home and forfeited my house on base because my husband went to Afghanistan.

So, since then most of our stuff has been in storage, but we only have the basics like a bed but no frame and a couch. so I get to start over. We don't even have furniture! So, I've compiled a photo montage of things I've made, want, or have collected for when I get to move back out.

I have a very eclectic style.

My inspiration and stuff! )
So this is my realistic inspiration for now, any other ideas now that you have an idea of my taste?

Hey there, some of you might remember me, I posted my room back in October, which you can see:
HERE

I'm looking for advice. If you see my room or know me at all you'll know that I love hockey more than anything. I had three game-used Detroit Red Wings hockey sticks in a corner of my bedroom. My room is very small (which you can definitely see in my previous post).

I recently purchased a game-used stick from my very favorite Red Wing and the corner is now looking a bit cluttered.

Which you can see here. )
Does anyone have any suggestions with what I might do to better display these sticks? They have different curves, depending on how the player shoots and one is a goalie stick, which makes it quite a bit bigger than the rest. The sticks are also as tall as I am how they're stood up right now (5' 9"). I absolutely do not want to damage the sticks in any way.

I'm hoping to move out in March but having some ideas for how to display them in my apartment would be awesome too. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks!

Ryan Robbins talks about his character DIEGO on CAPRICA in a video interview with 'The Up & Comers'. This is at time stamp 0:39 - 03:02 (he also talks about EJO).

I couldn't work out how to embed the video so here's the link to watch it.

And ... Ryan posted a photo (of himself and Alessandro Juliani) from the set of the web series RIESE THE SERIES on his Facebook fan page.

THE PLAN is airing on SyFy on Jan 10th at 10/9C.

Michael Trucco is in a SyFy Original Movie called METEOR STORM.

But there seems to be some conflicting info on when it will air.
The front page of the SyFy BSG website says it's airing on January 30th at 9/8C.
The website page for the movie has it listed as airing on January 16th at 9/8C.
The schedule on the SyFy website has it listed as airing on January 30th at 9/8C (with additional airings on Jan 30th at 1am and Feb 2nd at 7pm).

It did not make their Top 10 TV shows of the year, but it's #6 on their "Favorite Episodes" list. :)

6. Battlestar Galactica, "Blood on the Scales". After so much sci-fi kookiness and human/Cylon ennui, it was the bloody mutiny orchestrated by the peg-legged, tragic Felix Gaeta (Alessandro Juliani) that finally snapped BSG back into shape. The second half of this two-episode arc teemed with mind-frakkingly great moments, sending the series on its final voyage with a haunting, heart-stirring bang.
